About Open

Open is a community-driven directory of the best websites on the internet. In an era of endless search results and opaque rankings, Open offers a curated, human-first alternative: every site you find here has been submitted, reviewed, and rated by real people. Our verified rankings combine community reviews into a transparent trust score, so you can judge a site before you click — and social insights show you how others have engaged with it.

The directory is built for anyone who values quality on the web: everyday users hunting for trustworthy resources, enthusiasts exploring new sites across dozens of categories, and website owners who want their work discovered by an engaged community. Browsing is open to everyone — you can search, explore categories, read reviews, and like your favourite listings without an account. Creating an account unlocks more: submit your own sites, leave star ratings and written reviews, and help decide which listings rise to the top.

Open is built and maintained by Linkspider, an independent web company that creates tools for discovering, organising, and promoting great websites. New submissions are screened for quality and safety before going live, keeping the directory useful, relevant, and spam-free. If you would like to suggest a site or get in touch with the team, head over to the contact page — we would love to hear from you.
